The Million Paws Walk will take place in all states and territories on Sunday, 17 May 2009.
The main purpose of the event is raising funds and with over 144,000 animals finding shelter at the RSPCA annually, every dollar counts.
As well as the walk, there will be entertainment, displays, stalls, giveaways and a host of other activities.
